This photo, in contrast to your banner photo, is quite tragic.
How did you focus on the vertical strip of wing and wall while blurring everything to either side? It's neat!
P.S. You know, if you charged me for ever photo of yours I used as a background you'd have a good chunk of change.
P.S.S. Gotta go fly by the seat of my pants! Tee hee.

Heidi, that is an interesting connection with this wing and the banner and, yes, a little bit sad, though I think that this wing may actually be a cicada wing, which would make it a perfect album cover for my band "The Dead Cicadas." To match the picture, though, this would need be their fourth album, a sparse, miminalist work, in contrast to the beautifully brooding soundscapes of their first three albums. OK, I'll stop.

The focusing just sort of happened as I zoomed in and focused on the wing. You will notice that it is every thing in the plane of the wing that is in focus. This always occurs, but is more evident in this photo because it is a close-up. And, thankfully, I managed to get the wing in sharp focus this time.

I enjoyed supper last night, though I am thinking now that I should be lest persnickety about other people's metaphors, or the mixing of them.

But your persnicketiness is a one of your greatest gifts! Your expression-by the way-was priceless! Besides, if you hadn’t commented on his metaphor, I would have.
